We know that as you prepare to visit a new church there are often a lot of questions – what time should I arrive, what is the music like, how should I dress, where do I take my children? We hope to answer all of these questions for you so that you will feel comfortable when you arrive.
At Covenant Presbyterian Church you will find a friendly, welcoming group of people and a warm, inviting atmosphere. We would love for you to visit with us this Sunday. You may learn more about our staff and church history
We are located at 440 N Columbia Street in Milledgeville at the corner of West Thomas and North Columbia Street just a few blocks from downtown and the campus of Georgia College.
Bible Study & Worship Times
We meet each Sunday morning at 9:45 a.m. for Bible study and our worship service begins at 11:00 a.m. and concludes at 12:00 p.m. You will be greeted by several people who are happy to help you find your way around. If you have small children you may want to arrive a few minutes early to help get them settled into their class.
We offer Bible study for all ages, from children to adults, and we also have a nursery and preschool available (adjacent to the sanctuary). Refreshments are served during this time as well for all ages. Our children (5K-5th grade) will enjoy discussion and activities during Bible study and the youth will meet for Bible study and discussion led by one of our church’s elders. Both the children and students worship with the adults at 11:00 a.m.
Our worship style is traditional and begins with announcements, followed by a discussion of our worship theme, Scripture reading, hymns, responsive reading and silent prayer, and our sermon. We sing hymns from the Trinity Hymnal and often enjoy special, contemporary music provided by Georgia College’s string quartet and other musicians.
Each Sunday we have ministries for all ages during our 9:45am Bible study and 11:00am worship service. We also have events each week for most age groups in the church. Our ministry areas include children, youth, college, and adults and we have opportunities for special ministries such as missions, music, and outreach. We are an active congregation who is very committed to spreading the Gospel to both our community and our world. We invite you to learn more about our ministries here.
